About ME

My name is Coach Amin Ali, and I’m proud to call Central Minnesota home. I’m a community advocate, housing program director, and youth soccer coach , but most of all, I’m someone who believes in the power of service and the strength of community.

I’ve spent the past decade helping families find stability through my work in housing and social services. I’ve worked alongside local organizations to address real challenges , from housing insecurity to youth engagement , always with one goal in mind: building a more inclusive, supportive, and affordable community for everyone.

As a youth soccer coach, I’ve mentored kids from all backgrounds. I’ve seen how much our youth need safe spaces, encouragement, and opportunity and I’ve seen the barriers that hold them back, like high program costs, transportation issues, and lack of access to public resources. That work has inspired me to push for greater investment in youth programs, parks, and community recreation, so every child can have a fair shot ,no matter their background.

I’m also running because I hear from families who are struggling to make ends meet , who are working hard but still can’t afford rising housing costs or find stable, good-paying jobs. This campaign is about affordability and job sustainability. We need to address the gaps in workforce training, childcare access, and transportation that are holding people back. We need to create new partnerships with local employers and invest in solutions that actually work for our communities.

Above all, I believe Stearns County is ready for a new generation of leadership - leadership that listens, understands, and takes action. The old policies aren’t working. It’s time for a fresh voice at the table, one that puts people first and brings everyone along , not just the few who already have a seat.

This campaign is about us - standing together as one community to make sure everyone feels supported, heard, and that they belong. With your support, I’ll bring your voice to the County Board and work every day to represent you with integrity, purpose, and heart.
